Choosing the right size for your custom stickers seems simple, but it's one of the most common mistakes new customers make. Order too small and your design becomes illegible. Too large and it won't fit where it needs to go. The right size depends entirely on where the sticker will be applied, what information it needs to convey, and how much visual impact you want.

Size-by-Size Breakdown

1.5" x 1.5" — The Mini

About the size of a postage stamp. The smallest standard size we offer. Works for envelope seals, tiny product labels, small logo marks, and decorative accents. Text must be minimal — a logo mark or single word at most. At this size, simple shapes and high contrast are essential. Don't try to fit a detailed design into 1.5 inches — it will look like a smudge.

2" x 2" — The Compact

Fits on a phone case with room to spare. Good for small branding stickers, laptop corner stickers, water bottle accent stickers, and product labeling. You can fit a logo with a short tagline at this size, but keep text to a minimum. This is the most popular size for packaging seal stickers and small branding applications.

3" x 3" — The Sweet Spot

This is our most popular sticker size and the one we recommend if you can only pick one. At 3 inches, you have enough room for a detailed design with readable text, while still fitting comfortably on water bottles, laptops, notebooks, phone cases, car bumpers, skateboards, and virtually any other common surface. If you're starting a sticker line and need one size that works everywhere, this is it.

4" x 4" — The Statement

Large enough to make a statement but still versatile. Popular for bumper stickers, skateboard decals, toolbox stickers, cooler stickers, and large product labels. At 4 inches, text is easily readable from several feet away, making this size effective for stickers that need to communicate from a distance — like vehicle branding or retail signage.

3" x 4" and 4" x 6" — Rectangles

Rectangular stickers are the go-to for product labels, vertical designs, and applications where a square or circle doesn't fit the layout. The 3"x4" size is popular for jar labels, product packaging, and vertical designs. The 4"x6" size is essentially a postcard — large enough for detailed imagery, promotional content, and car decals.

5" x 5" and Larger — The Oversize

Anything 5 inches or larger enters decal territory. These are used for vehicle graphics, window displays, wall art, and signage applications. We print up to 24" in any dimension for oversized decals. At these sizes, resolution requirements increase — ensure your artwork is at least 300 DPI at the actual print size.
